How Do You Handle Delicate Items?
We take extra care with anything fragile. Got items that need gentle treatment? Tell us when you book.
What counts as delicate:
- Silk, satin, and chiffon garments
- Lace and embroidered pieces
- Knitwear and fine wool
- Items labelled "hand wash only" or "gentle cycle"
- Delicate lingerie and nightwear
Hand wash service:
For items that shouldn't go in a machine, we offer hand washing. Done separately from the main wash, with care given to temperature, pressure, and drying method.
How to request hand wash:
Add a note when you fill in the booking form. Something like "please hand wash the silk blouse and the lace top." We sort those items separately when your laundry arrives.
What we do:
- Sort delicates away from regular loads immediately on intake
- Check care labels before any washing
- Use mild, plant-based detergent
- Dry at low temperature or air dry where required
- Handle with care through ironing and folding
We won't risk a garment if the method is unclear. If we spot something we're not confident treating, we message you on WhatsApp first.
